iJournalPro (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a scholarly publishing platform developed by WebTa Plus AB. It provides journals, institutions, and editorial teams with a complete system for managing submissions, peer review, production, and online publishing. By using the iJournalPro website or any related services (“the Platform” or “Services”), you (“you,” “user,” or “client”) agree to these Terms and Conditions as well as our Privacy Policy.

Scope of Services

iJournalPro offers a range of services designed to support scholarly publishing, including:

  • Web-based journal management and editorial system

  • Custom website design and development for journals

  • Peer review workflow configuration

  • Typesetting, copyediting, XML conversion, and cover design

  • DOI registration and Crossref integration

  • Plagiarism check integration via iThenticate

  • Migration of existing and archived journal content

  • Onboarding and training for editorial teams

  • Indexing support and visibility consulting

  • Performance reporting and analytics

  • Payment integration for article fees or subscriptions

Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for all activity conducted under your account. You must provide accurate and up-to-date information at all times. If we find that your information is inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading, we may suspend or terminate your access to the Services. You are also responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.

Acceptable Use
When using iJournalPro, you agree not to:

  • Upload or distribute malicious software

  • Bypass or interfere with platform security

  • Modify, copy, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform

  • Overload the system with excessive requests or data

  • Access or extract data from other users or journals

  • Post unlawful or harmful content

  • Send spam, chain letters, or unsolicited messages

  • Encourage or participate in any illegal activity

We reserve the right to remove content or restrict access if any violations are identified.

Export Compliance

iJournalPro complies with applicable export laws and regulations. Users agree not to use the platform in any way that violates international export controls or sanctions.

Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of your journal’s content and intellectual property. iJournalPro retains ownership of all platform software, systems, and documentation. You may use our tools and services only for journal-related activities. Redistribution, resale, or unauthorized use of our software or services is not permitted.

Third-Party Links

Our platform may link to external websites or tools. These are provided for your convenience, and we do not control or endorse their content. Use of third-party sites is at your own risk, and you should review their privacy and terms separately.

Fees and Payment

Clients are charged an annual subscription fee for the core services provided by iJournalPro. Additional services or integrations may involve separate costs.

  • Subscription: Paid annually unless otherwise agreed

  • Crossref and iThenticate: Billed separately or paid directly by the client

  • Invoices: Sent with clear payment instructions and due dates

  • Taxes: Clients are responsible for any applicable taxes

  • Late Payments: May incur a 2% monthly interest charge or the maximum allowed by law

Refund Policy

Subscriptions are billed annually or monthly as agreed. No refunds are provided for unused time if a client cancels early. It is the client’s responsibility to export or retrieve data before cancellation.

Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement with 15 business days’ written notice.

  • In case of breach: The agreement may be terminated immediately if a material breach is not resolved within 30 days

  • Non-payment: Accounts with repeated payment failures (three times in a year) may be suspended or terminated

  • After termination: Access is revoked and data must be retrieved within 30 days

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold iJournalPro harmless from claims, losses, or liabilities that result from your violation of these terms or misuse of the Services.

Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of revenue or data. Our maximum liability will not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months prior to the claim.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Iraq. In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first seek resolution through informal discussions. If unresolved, the dispute will be handled by a court with appropriate jurisdiction in Iraq.
